Board Of Directors Meeting

Board Appointment of Regional Directors: These new members were voted
in as regional directors pending club approval, all in favor: R1 -
Brian Carpenter, R3 Tony Stoltz, R5 - Mark Langner
The President entertained motions for corrections to Federartion ByLaws
and the motion was accepted with all in favor.
Confirmation of nominees for the offices of President, State Tournament
Director and Youth/CastingKids Director. Each office was voted on and
nominees were confirmed with all in favor.
Cast Wireless Lanyard Incentive was discussed with winners receiving
$1,000 and highest place finishers outside first place receiving $250.
The proposal from AnglerWest Television producer Justin Wolff was voted
on and accepted with all in favor. Justin will be filming a segment for
his show for each event and will receive free entry to the tournament
in exchange.
Gary introduced the Angler Marine O.E Ranger/Mercury Incentive.
It was decided to pay all entry fees for the Angler of the Year from
all regions.
Brian Day announced a new Fish For Free Banner on the web site. He also
updated the bylaws online and has asked for help with the publication
newsletter.
New Melones TOC dates are 29th and 30th of October.
Tony Thomasy had questions regarding the dollars going out to
participants at the Federation Regionals. It was clarified that money
for the regionals comes from the state federation while money for the
nationals comes from ESPN.
Castaic Lake requires a $2 million policy per event which would cost
the federation $2,000 for three events. It was also mentioned that the
federation needs corporate insurance as well.
It was discussed that trophies never made it to the first Shasta
event. Archie Steele stepped up and said he'd make a call to get it
corrected.
The board discussed the hopes to have a general meeting before July
2005.
